Heard on CNN this morning that Senator Feinstein has introduced a bill to allow California valedictorian, Arthur Mkoyan, to stay. This bill temporarily puts a stay on any deportation.

What a sham, having a U.S. senator intervene on behalf of a lawbreaking family…Just another case of a politician flipping the bird at law-abiding citizens.

    Law-abiding citizens?
I break the law everyday when I jaywalk as does everyone else here including you Emma.
I break the law everyday when I drive 1 MPH over the speed limit as does everyone else here including you Emma.
I am a lawbreaker. So are you. So are the undocumented.

But yet somehow we don’t feel ourselves to have done anything wrong.

But then the rules change, when the lawbreaker has moved in next door, looks different, talks different, and won’t ‘assimilate’ into the collective. Then the conveniently redeemed law-abiding citizens say in unison ‘The lawbreakers must GO!’

  2. Bob

So Mackie, Since we are all lawbreakers we should just do away with laws. At least the ones its convenient to break. And heaven forbid we want to enforce the immigration laws, then we are racist. It seems this kid assimilated very well into our society, although illegally. Probably speaks as good as I do, maybe better. I still say we should enforce the law. What does that make me?

It makes you Bob Wills, HE of the magic green polo shirt, whose mighty roar has been muzzled by HE of the pasty, piggy face.

  4. Red Dawn

“Pasty, piggy face?” Do you mean Hank Hill? 🙂

  5. Moon-howler

    Mackie,

I certainly did not suggest that you supported George Bush. I do not see where you could possibly read that into my comments.

One person’s opinion or a group’s opinion about what could be prevented and what couldn’t is only speculation. I don’t claim to be the most learned person on this blog by a long shot, but I also haven’t lived in a cave. I don’t believe I need some sage behind a computer screen attempting to educate me.

We could just as easily start pointing fingers at FDR and make similar claims about Pearl Harbor.

I stand by my opinion, and it is only that, that calling Bill Clinton responsible for 9/11 is offensive. The people who flew the airplanes were responsible. No one else. Hind sight is always 20-20.

You are free to speak your mind and I am free to say it is offensive when I find it so.

  6. Moon-howler,

I’m not attempting to educate you. I’m merely trying to defend my position. If you want to turn a blind eye to the facts that I present, that’s fine. And in case you hadn’t noticed, we’re all behind computer screens.

No one is disputing that muslims enraged at America carried out the 9-11 attacks. I’m saying Billy Clinton is responsible for having had multiple opportunities to kill Bin Laden and did nothing out of moral cowardice. When Bill sat down with Mike Wallace and bellowed about how he did everything he could have done to kill Bin Laden, it was a bald-faced lie. He lied to Mike Wallace and he lied to the American people about one of the greatest tragedies that ever befell our country. What kind of person is this?

How can such a large portion of our populace still embrace someone like this? Because he’s got a (D) after his name? What about our dead countrymen?

Richard Clarke stood in front of the American people and told them that their government had failed them. Then, after gaining their trust, he proceeded to mislead them (in his book) about all the missed opportunities during the Clinton Administration while doing his best to lay blame exclusively at the feet of the Bush Administration. When two criminals commit a crime, justice requires that both criminals be caught and prosecuted. Capturing and prosecuting only one, leaves the other criminal free to commit his crime again.

And guess who is working for Senator Obama, and might get another chance to stand on the shore and do nothing while opportunities to kill America’s enemies float by…followed by the bodies of dead Americans. Richard A. Clarke.

    Mackie,

I am not privy to all the information Bill Clinton personally had or didn’t have. I am not ready to call him or any other president a moral coward. That includes presidents I seriously have not liked. It just isn’t my style. We probably will not be able to convince each other.

I do believe that government and leadership are far more complex than those of us outside the circle of fire will ever know. None of the events exist in isolation. I will reserve judgement for those who knowingly did evil, rather than those who might have erred in judgement.

  8. Moon-howler,

You’re not privy to all the information Bill Clinton personally had or didn’t have because they did their best to destroy it. Sandy Berger’s eager hands stuffed the most incriminating evidence into his socks and stole it from the National Archive which belongs to We the People. Incriminating evidence that probably would have put an end to Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations…so it had to be destroyed…the American people be damned. And guess who was resurrected and put back to work for Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Mr. Berger.
Fortunately, from out of nowhere, providence sent us an Obama to vanquish this power hungry couple and expose her as the vicious and ruthless fraud that she is. At the eleventh hour, at the last minute, Obama, wounded and faltering, stretched out and crossed the finish line one inch ahead of her. Unfortunately, the damage has been done. It is deep and may be mortal. We will see in November. One can almost hear Hillary cackling in the background as she lays her plans for 2012.

  9. Moon-howler

I have said what I have to say about your speculation, Mackie. You obviously have very strong feelings in favor of Obama and against Hillary. I do not share your opinion. All you report is old ‘news.’ We have hi-jacked this thread and we need to return it to its original intent for discussion. We will not agree. If you would like to have the last word, go for it. I am finished.

  10. Alanna

I’m confused. Are we saying Bob Wills is posting here under the moniker Bill? and the pasty pig, Hank Hill reference is lost on me.

  11. Red Dawn

    Alanna,

There is a poster named Bob on here and someone assumes it is Bob Wills.
As far as the Hank Hill Comment it is in reference to youtube comments under the Bob WIll’s Video. 🙂

So, Mackie, what other crimes are you willing to excuse on behalf of illegal immigrants? Theft, rape, incest, murder? Where do you draw a line, if any? I would hate to live in your chaotic, anarchic world, and not be able to turn my back for even a minute. All laws are relative, huh?

It’s a good bet you’d be the first to go sobbing to your lawyer the first time you think YOUR rights have been violated somehow. You’d be the first to scream malpractice if a ‘physician made an honest mistake with you or someone you loved, the first to whine if someone set fire to the American flag hanging in front of YOUR house.

It makes me sad that my dear relative who is a police officer is sworn to protect even the likes of you,–someone who doesn’t believe in the value of law in the first place. But I can’t imagine YOU would EVER need the police now, would you, since you’re so willing to excuse criminals. Do you even bother to lock your doors at night? Why bother, since entering a home and stealing isn’t illegal anyway, right? After all, if you minded, that would make you racist now, wouldn’t it?

    Ooooo…looks like we’ve got a live one here 🙂

The ultimate law of the land…the foundation for justice in our society…is the Constitution of the United States. And the Constitution says so long as you don’t infringe on someone’s life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, you are free to do as you see fit. In other words, live and let live.

And who in our community will not live and let live? HSM. They do not love freedom. They love comfort and convenience. They might have read American history, but they never lived it. The young lady from mexico in the previous video understands more of what it means to be an american, than the legal members of HSM who would deport her.

It makes me sad that my dear relative who is a police officer is sworn to protect even the likes of you,–someone who doesn’t believe in the value of law in the first place. But I can’t imagine YOU would EVER need the police now

You’re quite right that I have very little use for the police and consider the institution inherently evil and only nominally a necessary evil. But we should never let our guard down with the police, we should always keep a close watch on them, and any police officer who abuse their power should be summarily fired and barred from ever working as an officer of the law again.
And your friend is not sworn to protect me. The supreme court has ruled so. Police are sworn to protect the constitution. An oath they brazenly break every day. But we’ve got the technology now to catch them…and we will catch them. Until only the ones who stand by their Oaths remain.

  14. Lucky Duck

Mackie, you are simply off your rocker…and if I was a dope smoking fiend, I’d guess I’d have no need for the police either.

Moon-Howler was correct, sometimes you can be offensive.

  15. Lucky Duck:

Moon-Howler was correct, sometimes you can be offensive.

Manners are the weapon of the unmannerly.

I refuse to be ‘nice’, ‘sensitive’, ’empathetic’, ‘considerate’, ‘fair’. All of these are subjective terms that change shape based on the goals of the beholder.

    I prefer to be free.

You may cease now to call me offensive. I don’t care, and it’s getting annoying.

I guess I wouldn’t fit into those nice, fancy parties where everyone clinks their glasses together so dazzlingly, and all the fine people purse their lips and pay each other such eloquent compliments, one could almost swoon with the headiness of it all.

I am an American. Royalty, it all it’s forms, can kiss my ass.

  16. Moon-howler

The beauty of manners and civility is that we can all figuratively call each other sons of bitches and get by with it. Remove the manners and civility and a bar room brawl starts.

Manners have not one thing to do with royalty. They are just society’s way of conducting business. Manners’ preamble is the Golden Rule.

We can attack any idea and still be in good graces. If we start attacking each other, then the fall from grace can be a free fall from 30,000 feet.

  17. Emma

I feel sorry for you, Mackie. You sound lonely. I imagine you alienate just about everyone you meet.

  18. Emma:

Awwww shucks Emma, I never knew you were capable of such affection. Michelle Obama was wrong. There is no empathy gap. You must be one of the generous ones who want to ‘send them back with love’, huh?

  19. Emma

I can’t see far enough past the chip on your shoulder to bother with an answer. Sorry the world sucks so much for you. Not only are you alienated, you are also tiresome. See ‘ya.

  20. See ya Emma, Try debating the issues next time! 🙂
